Lothlórien decommissioned

The machine known for a tile as Lothlórien has been decommissioned. It had been sitting in my office for a while—last login was in fact last Christmas! I verified that I had all the data off it that I needed (it was only a desktop box with most data shared from other machines anyway). It was a Pentium II 400Mhz (!) with a 10 Gb primary HD and a 60 Gb secondary (I also got rid of another 60 Gb drive with the machine). (Hard to believe even a few years back that a 60 Gb drive would be next to worthless… but I suppose not really given Moore's law and such things.) I believe I had it since school—I'm pretty sure I had it when I was on co-op in Toronto, but probably bought it in Waterloo, at a small computer store there. It was of course running (Gentoo) Linux (2.6.20), although earlier on it was a server machine and never had a GUI, until replaced in that capacity and KDE packages were installed so Honey could used it for web browsing and mail.
It served well and will be missed. It is survived by rivendell, cirith-ungol, cair-paravel, and khazad-dum. Requisceat in pace.
